As the novel coronavirus second wave continues, the positivity ratio has peaked in Abbottabad, recording at 40.32% on Tuesday.

An update issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said that the positivity ratio was determined based on positive cases appearing in 100 samples of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) patients. After Abbottabad, the highest positivity ratio was observed in Hyderabad at 22.12% and Karachi at 12.54%, the NCOC study noted.

Moreover, the positivity ratios in various federating units were recorded as 4.32% in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 10.67% in Balochistan, 1% in Gilgit-Baltistan, 3.41% in Islamabad, 5.67% in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), 4.22% in Punjab and 6.29% in Sindh.

The update also outlined a province-wise Covid-19 positivity ratio breakdown that indicated that in Punjab, Lahore was at 5.8%, Rawalpindi had a maximum of 7.36%, Faisalabad 5.47%, and Multan 5.25% of the overall provincial positivity ratio.
