Kamal reviews Covid-19 response, uplift projects
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal reviewed the coronavirus response of the provincial government in a meeting held at the CM House on Tuesday.
The provincial chief executive was informed about how the second wave of Covid-19 is being tackled in the province with assistance from the federal government.
He was also told about the other natural disaster control programmes being launched in collaboration with the centre.
According to sources, health facilities in district and tehsil headquarters will be provided under the aforementioned programme.
Concerned authorities also briefed the CM about national improvement programmes aimed at empowering the youth, sanitation and hygiene programmes, improvement of local infrastructure, prevention of Congo virus and other animal diseases, improvement of veterinary clinics, water supply and tunnel farming in agriculture.
Jam Kamal was informed that 1,429 development projects have been approved out of the 1,597 new schemes. More than Rs42 billion has been released for this purpose.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that effective measures should be taken to improve the health facilities in the district and tehsil headquarters by improving the water, sanitation and sewerage system as well as the infrastructure and livelihood at the local level.
