‘Transport fares discounted for special persons’

All measures were being taken at the government level to provide employment to the differently-abled person

Hafizabad Deputy Commissioner Naveed Shehzad Mirza said on Tuesday that the transport department was giving 50 per cent discount in public transport fares to differently-abled persons.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of social organisation CIP representatives Atiya Amjad, Madam Rukhsana and Ghulam Abbas Shirazi.

The deputy commissioner added that special persons were an important part of the society and they could be made responsible and productive citizens by providing them facilities and resources.

The deputy commissioner said that providing maximum facilities to the differently-abled persons at all levels was one of the top priorities of the district administration.

He further said that all measures were being taken at the government level to provide employment to the differently-abled persons.
