Tribune Poll: Outlasting Bilawal, Maryam Nawaz is biggest PDM crowd puller
In a poll conducted by The Express Tribune, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz came out on top among the opposition leaders who attract crowds at political rallies.
The poll, which was coducted on Twitter, also gave voters the option of fellow Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The scion of the Nawaz political dynasty amassed 50.1 per cent of the votes, while Rehman garnered 35 per cent. Whereas, Bilawal, came in last with 14.7 per cent of the votes.
A total of 784 votes were cast by users of the micro-blogging site over seven days time.
Maryam, who has over five million followers on Twitter, is one of the most followed Pakistanis. She is believed to carry forward the legacy of three-time premier Nawaz Sharif's in Pakistani politiics.
