ISLAMABAD:

The ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, on Monday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The meeting between the two focused on bilateral cooperation and the current Covid-19 situation. The resolve to further strengthen the strong, longstanding Pakistan-Saudi Arabia fraternal ties was reaffirmed during the visit.

The Saudi envoy last week met the Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the military’s headquarters in Rawalpindi and discussed matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting matters of regional security situation and bilateral defence relations between the two brotherly countries were also discussed, it added.

In August, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz, in a meeting with the Saudi ambassador said Pakistan is determined to further build up the historic fraternal ties.

He had termed Pak-Saudi ties as a “relationship of hearts”. Saudi Arabia was the first country that the premier visited after assuming office.
