Young Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition: Setting the stage
In what is claimed to be the first platform of its kind, Glamstop PR and Client Management is organising the Young Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition in Lahore. To be held at Maisonette Hotel, the Young Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition is expected to provide young entrepreneurs with a platform that not only promotes their talent, but also guides them on future projects — both local and international.
Hafsa Shorish, the executive coordinator of the event, came up with the idea of organising such an event with two of her friends. Talking to The Express Tribune, Shorish, who also works with Glamstop Magazine, said that her experience at the fashion magazine made her realise that a lot of talented people in Pakistan are not getting a chance to showcase their skills. This prompted her to survey the possibility of creating a platform meant for addressing the promotional needs of these innovative youngsters.
According to Shorish, people who want to market their work often resort to online social networking sites. This trend often poses limitations and the upcoming event would give such entrepreneurs an open stage to exhibit their talent. The exhibition has so far gained the attention of small-scale businessmen and creative students from different universities. “This is Glamstop’s first exhibition and the response has been really good”, said Shorish. “So far, 25 people have confirmed their participation and booked stalls for the exhibition,” she added.
The last date for submitting entries for the exhibition is August 12. The two-day exhibition will be held on August 20 and 21 from 11 am to 11 pm.
