
The Federal Government Housing Employees Authority (FGEHA) is required to clear it’s built up property (BUP) dues worth over Rs6 billion for sub-sectors G-14/1, 2 and 3.
It has to make payments to the people whose built up properties were demolished during the land acquisition process for developing the sector.
The award for BUPs in sub-sectors G-14/1 and 2 is yet to be made as the survey is currently underway while Rs1.889 billion has been awarded as compensation for 529 BUPs in sub-sector G-14/3 by the Land Acquisition Collector (LAC) office, an official shared on Wednesday.
He mentioned that an award was announced for sub-sector G-14/4 in 1995 at Rs230,000 per kanal for total land 1,459 kanals, which is now developed and occupied by allottees. The land falling under sub-sectors G-14/1, 2 and 3 was announced in 2005 at the rate of Rs590,000 per kanal for total land of 4,820 kanals, the official added.
He said the amount was transferred to the LAC office, which has been paid to the respective owners of the land, adding that the number of provisionally handed over plots to the respective allottees in sub-sectors G-14/2 and 3 is 999.
The official mentioned that due to novel coronavirus pandemic, the development of sector G-14 was stalled in March and April but has was resumed again in May.
Providing details about the project, he said the housing scheme Phase-IV was launched in 2004 in sub-sectors G-14/1, 2 and 3 while the development work of sub-sectors G-14/1, 2 and 3 was awarded in 2012. He added that rehabilitation and infrastructure development works of Sector G-14/4 have also been awarded and work is in progress with full swing.
