Factory, timber shops, vehicles gutted in Karachi infernos

No casualties were reported in the incident

Four fire incidents were reported in Karachi Tuesday night. A factory in Bilal Colony, Korangi Sector 27 caught fire. Fire department officials reached the spot immediately after being informed of the incident and launched a firefighting operation.

According to fire department officials, automobile parts were manufactured in the factory. They said that two fire tenders were used in the extinguishing operation.

As per them, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The estimated loss and the cause of the fire were not ascertained till the filing of this report.

In the meantime, two timber shops in Norozer Khan Goth, in the jurisdiction of SITE Super Highway Industrial Area Police Station, caught fire.

Fire department officials arrived at the spot and doused the blaze.

According to fire department officials, two fire tenders were used in the operation and the flames were kept from spreading to other places. The cause and the estimated loss caused by the fire couldn’t be ascertained till the filing of this report.

Moreover, a motorcycle caught fire at a petrol pump in Kharadar. The bike was burned to ashes, but the motorcyclist remained safe.

People present at the spot doused the blaze on their own.

Meanwhile, a moving car caught fire in Liaquatabad No.10. People present inside the car came out of the car safely. However, the car was completely gutted.

According to the eyewitnesses, the car was carrying fireworks equipment which had caught fire.
