ISLAMABAD:

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to hear the case of the missing electrical engineer, Naveed Butt, every Monday.

He added that if the divisional bench was disintegrated, the proceeding of the case would still be conducted.

On behalf of the defence ministry, the Deputy Attorney General (DAG) informed the court that the victim was not in the custody of any of the agencies.

The petitioner's counsel Inamur Raheem informed that the interior ministry has so far not submitted the answer. The court remarked that it was a case of urgent nature and there would be no delay in it.

Justice Qambrani said that the case would be heard every Monday onward.

IHC instructed the interior ministry to submit a report in three days and adjourned the hearing till next Monday.

Butt was the official spokesman for the banned group Hizbut Tahrir (HuT). He was allegedly whisked away by unidentified people in Lahore on May 11, 2012 as he returned home with his children from school.
