Demolition warning issued for 25 illegal buildings

The owners of more than 25 illegal buildings have been given the notices for demolishing their buildings

ISLAMABAD:

The apex development body of the capital has warned owners of 25 buildings of demolishing their illegally constructed structures.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed restaurants and vehicle service stations over the violation of building code, a statement said on Sunday.

Upon the special directions of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed, the authority sealed the illegal restaurants and four service stations in Sector G-9 and Sector G-10.

The owners of more than 25 illegal buildings have been given the notices for demolishing their buildings. They have been directed that if they would not demolish the illegal buildings, they would be fined heavily after the expiry of the notices, while these building would also be sealed.

The process of demolishing these buildings would also start later on.
