ISLAMABAD:

Renowned Nepali mountaineer, high-altitude mountain guide and tour operator Mingma Gyalje has arrived in Pakistan along with two other Nepali mountaineers to summit the ‘Savage’ mountain.

Gyalje will be leading a team of three Nepalese mountaineers including Kili Pemba and Dawa Tenjin.

The three met with Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) Secretary Karrar Haidri on Tuesday and finalised final paperwork for their upcoming mountaineering attempt. They also received a pre-mountaineering briefing.

Formalities on behalf of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council Secretariat, the climbing permit-issuing authority, were also completed. Haidri requested Mingma to strictly adhere to environment preservation measures while on the Baltoro glacier under the guidelines issued by the ACP.
