Bakhtawar Bhutto had her father's wedding ring recreated for fiancé

Elder daughter of slain former prime minister has revealed the story behind Mahmood Choudhry's engagement ring

Engagement ceremony of Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, elder daughter of slain former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari, took place at Bilawal House on November 27.

Prominent personalities from across the country attended the event.

Contrary to earlier speculations surrounding Bakhtawar recreating her late mother's nikkah look for her engagement, another form of recreation took place. Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, Bakhtawar shared an image of the engagement ring she gave her fiancé to reveal the story behind it.

"My mother had her father’s wedding ring copied and made for my father when they got married," she wrote. "I had the same ring duplicated and made for Mahmood Choudhry," added the bride-to-be.

It was earlier speculated that Bakhtawar would be recreating her late mother's nikkah look for her big day.

Benazir had styled a pink and green ensemble with heavy work, designed by Resham Revaj on her nikkah to Zardari. But Bakhtawar donned a tea pink lehenga, drapped in a unique embroidered shawl, courtesy of designer Nida Azwer, on her engagement to Mahmood Choudhry.
