Minor among six abducted in Dijkot

Kidnapping incidents targeting women, minors, surged across district

DIJKOT:

As many as six people including three women, two teenage girls and a seven-year-old boy were abducted in the city on Wednesday.

Police registered cases against the kidnappers and started searching for the abductees.

According to the police report, a 26-year-old woman, the daughter of Asiya Bibi and a resident of 240 Mor on Satiana Road, was abducted by unknown assailants.

Separately, on Sammundri Road, Nazir Hussain's 16-year-old daughter along with 17-year-old Abida were abducted by Salamat and his two accomplices.

Moreover, Jabir Khan's sister was abducted by unknown assailants in Chak No 516GB.

Police officials said that a married woman, the sister of Mustansir Hussain and a resident of Narwala Road, Chak No 62GB, was abducted by five suspects including Rada and Rozi Khan.

In the suburban village 550GB, Kausar Parveen's seven-year-old son was abducted from outside his house by Noman and his four accomplices.

Cases of abduction were on the rise in the district.

On October 24, two security guards were arrested for their involvement in the abduction of a newborn baby from a hospital in Faisalabad.

Police took the security guards into custody after they saw the security guards talking to the kidnapper in CCTV footage of the incident.

On September 27, five people including a woman and four teenage boys were allegedly abducted in the district.

Three teenage boys, all students of ninth grade at a school in 203GB, Malikpur, were walking home after running some errands at a nearby shop to when they were abducted by unidentified suspects.

After the families of the victims could not find their children, they informed the local police.

Separately, the 14-year-old sister of Hakeem Ali was abducted by the accused Sahib Khan and his four accomplices in suburban village 45GB.

Meanwhile, Arshad Mahmood’s 13-year-old son was abducted by unknown persons while he was playing outside his house in Jhang Road, 77GB.

On August 21, a shrewd burqa-clad woman had kidnapped a newborn baby from Allied Hospital, Faisalabad and fled away easily. As per details, Nosheen, a resident of Faisalabad’s Nisar Colony had given birth to a baby girl.

An unknown burqa-clad woman had reached the mother’s room and asked to handover the baby girl to her for vaccination. The woman could be seen fleeing from the hospital with the infant in CCTV footage available with the media.

On July 30, a medical college final year student, who was abducted from Satiana Road for a ransom of Rs20 million, was rescued by police 16 hours after her abduction.

The victim went to a jewellery shop on Satiana Road for Eid shopping.

After shopping, the final year MBBS student of a medical college in Karachi unlocked her car to drive back home. As soon as she unlocked the car, an armed man hopped on to the back seat and asked her to drive towards Sargodha Road.

The accused threatened her and told her to stop on Sargodha Road bypass. He tied her hands and coerced her to sit on the front seat while he took over the steering wheel and drove the car to Chiniot.

To demand ransom, the abductor identified as Abrar, son of Islam, called the girl's uncle Muhammad Usman from her phone.

He demanded a ransom of Rs20 million.

Madina Town police tracked the location of the abducted girl through latest technology and discovered that they were present in Chiniot.
