19 more coronavirus deaths recorded

Punjab health authorities ask citizens to observe SOPs for their protection

LAHORE:

The second wave of coronavirus resulted in 19 more deaths on Thursday while as many as 720 new cases were reported all over Punjab.

Spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare department said the number of coronavirus cases in the province reached 116,506 and at least 2,923 deaths were recorded altogether.

The P&SHD confirmed that the provincial capital recorded the highest number of new cases (273), seconded by Rawalpindi with 143 new coronavirus cases.

The Punjab health department has conducted over 1.91 million Covid-19 tests so far, out of which 98,145 individuals had tested positive. The health department appealed to the masses to observe SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.
