KARACHI:

PML-F leader Pir Pagara appreciated Sindh nationalist parties for their strike call against the government’s decision to roll back the commissionerate system.

He was talking to the media during an iftar party for journalists on Monday.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party has taken a U-turn but his party still supports the commissionerate system, which is beneficial for the country. He added that his party would nevertheless continue to support the government.

He further stated that Pakistan army had expressed concern over the worsening law and order situation in Karachi and President Zardari had no option but to accept MQM’s demand for restoration of the local government system of 2001.

“I personally support the judicial martial law, because judges are honest and I believe that they will decide every thing in the true spirit of the law,” he later commented in his distinct style.
