Provincial Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has stressed the need for taking initiatives to expand the ruling Balochistan Awami Party’s (BAP) reach to other parts of the country, directing workers to launch a membership drive for people, especially students, of other provinces to join the party.
“BAP workers are the real asset and backbone of the party,” the chief minister told a BAP Students Federation (BAPFS) delegation, headed by Senator Manzoor Kakar, during a meeting on Friday.
Kamal, who is also the BAP president, was of the view that the party was gaining popularity among the masses because of its continuous efforts for provincial progress and people’s welfare. “All available resources are being utilised to provide better employment opportunities to the youth,” he added.
He congratulated the BAPFS governing body members on their success in elections and wished them success. The chief minister further advised the body to execute their duties with dedication, stressing the need for devising strategies to organise the party at the grassroots level.
Kamal called upon the governing body members to take initiatives to strengthen BAP in other parts of the country by visiting other provinces and contacting students.
In a message on Children’s Day, he said: “The day reaffirms our commitment to take such steps with a collective responsibility to protect the rights of children who are our future.”
