DASKA:

A young man resembling a TikToker was taken into custody by police in Daska on Friday for allegedly masquerading as a beggar.

Reportedly, the TikToker was found begging in Daska after adopting a beggar’s get up. Jamke Cheema patrolling police of the area found him suspicious and arrested him.

Police also confiscated foreign currency including US Dollars, Saudi Riyals and Great Britain Pounds from his pocket.

The matter came to light after the police caught the suspect and washed his face.

According to the police officials, the patrolling police nabbed Naomi, a resident of Multan, who was looting citizens by posing as a beggar.

The boy, with the help of his mother, used to put makeup on his face and beg on the streets and the suburbs of Daska, Sialkot and motorway. When his face was washed by police, he resembled a TikToker.

Police claimed that the accused was healthy, able bodied and mentally sound.

During interrogation, the accused claimed he started begging after he was not able to find himself a job. Jamke Cheema patrolling police official Yasir told The Express Tribune that he chased him for many days on suspicion of him being an imposter.

I found his actions suspicious and so the patrolling police began to trace him, he added. “When the accused was caught, he pretended to be mentally challenged for a long time and even pretended to be mute.”

His fair complexion was evident when his face was washed, he further said.

The accused also confessed during investigation that he had been begging for a year after wearing makeup on his face as well as old clothes.

Police also seized the accused’s new clothes from his bag.

Police officials added that further investigation into the matter was underway.

Despite a commendable act by relevant police official, i have a small question. Whether he is imposter or not, is begging on roads is allowed ? If not, who will arrest all other beggars spread throughout country....looting prople.
