Parliamentary Secretary for Information Bushra Rind on Thursday said the Balochistan government is formulating a policy to deal with mafias working in provincial health and education departments.
She was addressing her first press conference in Officer Club Quetta after assuming the charge of the parliamentary information secretary.
Rind emphasised that the government authorities will deal with land mafias and encroachers with an iron hand. “No land grabbers will be tolerated. It is the commitment of the provincial government to allow anyone to hold illegal possessions on government property.”
While talking to the media personnel, an official version of the government on different decisions taken in the provincial cabinet meeting held earlier were given by her.
She maintained how badly new sub divisions in the province were needed due to increasing administrative issues.
The parliamentary secretary also announced to hire doctors on a contract basis soon to fulfill the shortage faced by hospitals.
“3,000 doctors will be hired for three to five years term. Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal gives the most importance to quality health services and this is the reason why he has not appointed any health minister as he personally handles the ministry affairs,” Rind said.
She further clarified that the provincial government has not taken any decision regarding a smart lockdown in the province. “Covid – 19 cases are on rise in Balochistan but it is imperative for people to adopt precautionary measures and follow all the standard operating procedures.”
Commenting on the prevailing cold wave, expected rain and snowfall in Balochistan, Rind said the government departments have acquired latest machineries to combat with the challenge successfully.
Responding to a query pertaining to shortage of gas and load shedding, the parliamentary information secretary informed the media personnel that electricity and sui gas supply fall under the federal government’s jurisdiction and CM Kamal has already discussed these issue with top level authorities.
Towards the end of her press conference, she also shared details of Balochistan Power Development Act 2020, amendments in Balochistan Arts Council Act 2018, judicial academy CP funds & pension rules 2019 and date processing plants in Panjgur.
