Cheap Chicks: Chicken sellers protest low prices

The rally concluded at Company Bagh. The traders demanded that the government raise meat prices.

SARGODHA: Chicken sellers in the district have protested against the district administration for the reduction in meat prices. The traders also took out a large rally on the call of the poultry association Sargodha and loaded several coops on vehicles. The rally concluded at Company Bagh. The traders demanded that the government raise meat prices so they could earn a profit. They said they bought live chickens for Rs147 a kilo and the administration was asking them to sell it at Rs120 a kilo. Chicken sellers are observing a complete boycott in the district.
