Manoj Bajpayee is one of the few gems in the Indian film industry to have garnered both critical acclaim and stardom. Seen in the same light as the late Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bajpayee has never received any criticism as far as acting chops are concerned.

With the influx of OTT series in India, the Padma Shri recepient has had the opportunity of bringing more of his craft to the table and as a result, managed to reach new heights in his career. Keeping in view of everything, audiences have often begged the question as to when will Bajpayee move on to the next step? The next step, in this case, being Hollywood.

The Family Man star meanwhile is in no hurry to branch out beyond borders. In fact, he doesn't even perceive it as moving up a notch in his career. During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the senior actor stated that he isn’t in a hurry to make his Hollywood debut. According to him, he will never take a project only for the sake of it coming from Hollywood. The only way Bajpayee will consider doing anything there is if the offer is respectable.

“It’s not in your hands. I keep getting offers, I won’t deny that. It has to be respectable. I am not dying to go there and start from the scratch just because it’s Hollywood,” Bajpayee shared.

Elaborating further, the Satyameva Jayate actor mentioned that he has a lot of respect for Hollywood industry which has impacted generations after generation. However, he stated that while he is getting such great roles in Bollywood, he wants similar, even a little bit less, there in Hollywood. “Starting from scratch is something which is not my scene at all. “You should do the things which are in your hand, fantastic and great. Why will you leave all this and go for something which is completely subsidiary?” Bajpayee said.

At the same time, Bajpayee believes that Bollywood has yet to tap into his true potential. “The Bollywood you are talking about, they still don’t know what to do with us. We work off Bollywood like there’s off-Broadway. In the city itself, I have always stayed on the fringe and worked from there,” he said..
