Punjab Health Services Director General Dr Haroon Jehangir constituted a special committee to monitor immunisation service delivery in teaching hospitals on the directives of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Tuesday.
The committee members include Dr Saeed Akhtar, Dr Shakil Ahmed Gondal, Usman Ghani, UNICEF Representative Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rana and World Health Organisation Representatives Dr Fayyaz Ahmed and Dr Imran Qureshi.
The Health Services director general himself would also visit hospitals and monitor the immunisation processes there.
The provincial health minister said, “The purpose of constituting a special committee is to improve immunisation processes and enhance coverage in Punjab. The members of the committee shall visit all teaching hospitals between November 17 and November 25.”
