Sindh sees 904 more Covid cases, nine deaths

As many as 904 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in the Sindh overnight, which took the virus tally to 157,432, said Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday.

Further, nine more people succumbed to the virus on the day, raising the death toll in Sindh to 2,760, he added.

Sindh CM said there were 11,020 active Covid-19 cases in the province as of yesterday (Tuesday), with 10,505 patients in home isolation, 510 being treated in different hospitals and five at isolation centres.

He added that the condition of 422 patients was critical while 40 of them were on ventilators.

On the other hand, 400 people recovered from the infection on the day, raising the total number of recoveries reported so far in the province to 143,652, the CM said.

According to Shah, of the newly diagnosed cases in the province, 610 were reported in Karachi alone.
