KARACHI:

The body of a woman who had been stabbed to death was found covered in blood by the roadside in New Karachi Industrial Area on Saturday night.

According to the police, the woman, identified as Parween, 40, was murdered with a sharp object. They said they had arrested her husband, Aslam, for perpetrating the crime and claimed to have seized the murder weapon from his possession.

The police said Aslam suffered from a mental illness and had previously been booked in a case pertaining to a rape attempt at the Sohrab Goth police station.

He attacked his wife as she came out of the factory where she worked and murdered her, the police claimed, adding that initial investigation indicated that the crime was committed over a domestic dispute.
