Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Saturday inaugurated Senator Muhammad Ishaq Baloch Cricket Stadium Gwadar jointly constructed by the provincial government and Pakistan Army.
“The government is planning to extend the newly-built stadium in Gwadar by establishing a cricket ground meeting international standards,” said the chief minister in his address on the occasion.
He maintained development work on the construction of 33 sports complex projects across Balochistan had been initiated as the provincial government was taking steps to attract the youth towards healthy and creative activities.
In 2019, the government had allocated Rs20 million for the stadium and another project, Baba-e-Bizenjo Football stadium, in Gwadar.
Foundation of nine projects
The chief minister laid foundations of development projects, including tourist resort projects in Kund Malir and Marine Drive, according to a press release issued by Balochistan Directorate General Public Relations on Saturday.
He attended the stone laying ceremony of women hostel, women business centre, women bazaar and beach model park. Kamal also visited under construction sites of Mir Ghous Bux Bizenjo Football stadium and Civil Hospital Gwadar where officials concerned briefed him about the progress on the projects.
CM visits Pasni
The chief minister also laid foundations of different development projects in Pasni during his visit to the coastal city, according to a press release issued on Saturday.
The projects included a drinking water supply reservoir, Pasni fish harbor restoration project, Dosi Dam, Shinzaani Dam, Shore protection and Futsal ground projects.
