ABBOTTABAD:

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday maintained that the PTI-led government was running out of time, vowing to send the "selected prime minister” packing along with his “coterie of corrupt people”.
Addressing corner meetings in Darial and Thor in connection with the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, the scion of the Bhutto dynasty also said he would not leave the region before the November 15 polls.
A day earlier, the G-B Chief Court had ordered the country’s public office holders and elected representatives to leave the region within three days as they were ineligible to conduct election campaigns ahead of polls.
They include PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, PTI’s Ali Amin Gandapur and the PPP chairman.
Speaking at the corner meetings, Bilawal said the premier had violated the election code of conduct by visiting the region and hinting at giving a package to its people just days before the polls.
He asked the crowd as to what had Imran Khan given to the people of G-B in the last two years.
"He takes U-turns and is a liar. Where are his 10 million jobs and five million houses?" he added.
Bilawal said when the PPP would form its government in G-B after the November 15 elections, his party would provide jobs to the locals in Diamer-Bhasha dam project just like it did for the people of Thar in the Thar coal power project.
He maintained that his grandfather, PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, had ended FCR and Rajgiri system, and provided subsidy on food items, petrol and clothes.
He added that his mother, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, had introduced democracy in G-B and allowed political parties to function whereas former president and co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari had given an identity to the people of the region by appointing its first governor, chief minister and also provided its them with 25,000 jobs.
The G-B chief election commissioner, Bilawal claimed, was siding with the “puppet government” and speaking against his party.
“Imran Khan wants to snatch the subsidy for G-B which Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had given to its people but we will not allow him to usurp these rights,” he added.
“Today every section of the society is protesting against this puppet government, from lady health workers to doctors and from traders to government employees.”
The PPP chief had launched G-B election campaign from Ghanche district on October 22 and since then he has been addressing various public gatherings, corner meetings and conventions of party workers.
