NAUSHKI:

Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) Provincial Coordinator Muhammad Asif said the budget in the country should be prepared in consultation with various partners and stakeholders and its information should be exchanged with citizens during all phases of its preparation and implementation.

“Citizen's Network for Budget Accountability comprises more than 70 civil society organizations working on budget transparency in 110 districts of Pakistan,” said Asif while briefing the media on Saturday at Naushki Press Club on an annual report on the state of budget transparency issued by the CPDI.

The report pointed out shortcomings in the budgeting process at the federal and provincial levels.
