House thefts on the rise in Murree

Police have registered a case against the incident and started the investigation

RAWALPINDI:

Incidents of thefts in empty houses have increased in Murree, as wealthy people head to cities to escape the extreme cold weather of the hill station.

Thieves broke into home of Muhammad Gulzar Abbasi, former chairman of Murree Zakat Committee on Saturday and took away every moveable object.

Besides LED television, they hauled away some electrical items crockery, carpets even the bathroom fittings from the house located in Union Council Darya Gali.

Police have registered a case against the incident and started the investigation.

Meanwhile, the locals are concerned on the rise of house robbery incidents behind their backs.
