A new health unit will be built in the Golra area of the federal capital while basic health units set up in the rural areas of the city will be upgraded.
This was disclosed by health officials on Wednesday as Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on health projects in the federal capital.
The participants reviewed ongoing health-related projects in the federal capital.
Health officials said that work on an extension block of the Federal Government Polyclinic hospital will commence soon.
Further, the officials briefed the meeting about the construction of a 200-bed hospital in Sector G-13.
Apart from this, the health officials said that Basic Health Units (BHUs) in the rural areas of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) are in the process of being upgraded while a new health unit will be built in the Golra area soon apart from upgrading existing BHUs.
