443 fresh Covid-19 infections emerge in Sindh

The newly reported cases, 289 were reported in Karachi alone

Sindh saw 443 fresh Covid-19 cases overnight, taking the virus tally in the province to 146,774 on Monday, according to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

He further stated that two more patients had succumbed to the virus, putting Sindh's virus death toll at 2,633.

Shah apprised that 5,167 patients were currently infected with the virus, of whom 4,906 were in home isolation, 260 were being treated at different hospitals and one was quarantined at an isolation centre. He added that the condition of 191 patients was said to be critical and 27 had been shifted on ventilators.

On the other hand, he said that 195 more people had recovered from the coronavirus, taking the number of recoveries to 138,974.

Moreover, of the newly reported cases, 289 were reported in Karachi alone, including 90 from South district, 83 from East, 48 from Central, 40 from Malir, 18 from Korangi and 10 from West.

Further, Hyderabad reported 39 cases, Tando Mohammad Khan 18, Shikarpur 12, Khairpur 10, Dadu eight, Ghotki seven, Jamshoro and Sanghar six each, Thatta five, Shaheed Benazirabad four, Matiari three, Badin two, and Kashmore, Mirpurkhas, Naushero Feroze, Sujawal and Umerkot one apiece.
