A 100 per cent pass rate for the annual examination 2020 of the intermediate commerce regular group part II was announced on Tuesday by the board of intermediate education Karachi (BIEK).
According to BIEK Chairperson Inam Ahmed, the ratio of success for the commerce regular group was at 100 per cent. As many as 43,797 students registered for the exam and they were all successful, he said.
The students were promoted on the basis of the policy devised by the government as exams were suspended this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, elaborated Ahmed. Students were awarded marks with a 3 per cent increase in the marks they had scored earlier in the annual examinations part I.
Giving the breakdown, BIEK Controller of Examinations Shujaat Hashmi, said that 99 students of the commerce regular group scored A+ grade in intermediate part II, 1,066 received A grade, 3,609 B, 5,009 C, 13,843 D and 20,171 students got E grade.
In accordance with the policy, no student was awarded with a position, said Hashmi, adding that the results have been uploaded on the BIEK website and can also be accessed via the relevant android mobile phone application.
