ISLAMABAD:

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) will enhance cooperation, especially in the fields of online and distance learning.

This was discussed as AIOU Vice-Chancellor Dr Ziaul Qayyum called on the IIUI President Dr Hathal Hamoud Al-Otaibi at his office on Monday.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interests including initiatives for the promotion of quality education and the role of universities in society were discussed.

Dr Qayyum hoped that bilateral cooperation between the two universities will be further enhanced.

The IIUI president said that his varsity is keen on enhancing its ties with universities across the world. Noting that the IIUI is focusing on online distance learning, it will be keen to cooperate in this field with AIOU.
