Sindh sees 304 fresh Covid-19 cases

As many as 304 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in the province overnight, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Saturday, adding that the provincial virus tally to date consequently reached 143,526 cases.

Moreover, Shah stated that four more patients had succumbed to Covid-19, which took the death toll in Sindh to 2,598.

The CM further apprised that there were 4,410 active coronavirus cases in the province, of which 4,151 were in home isolation, 253 admitted in hospitals and four were quarantined at isolation centres.

He added that the condition of 152 patients was said to be critical, while 18 of them had been shifted on ventilators.

Meanwhile, Shah informed that 162 patients had recovered from the contagious disease overnight, taking the number of recoveries to 136,518.

According to him, of the newly reported cases, 244 were diagnosed in Karachi alone.

He added that Hyderabad saw 10 new cases, Shikarpur five, Ghotki and Shaheed Benazirabad four each, Thatta, Naushero Feroze and Sujawal three each, Badin two, and Jacobabad, Khairpur, Larkana, Matiari, Sukkur and Umerkot one each.
