Pakistan, Uzbekistan accede to bilateral and regional cooperation

Foreign Minister expresses appreciation for the assistance extended by the government of Uzbekistan

ISLAMABAD:

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday lauded Uzbekistan for its assistance extended to members of the Pakistani community during COVID pandemic

In a telephonic conversation with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, Qureshi emphasised over the importance of enhanced high-level interaction between the two countries.

He proposed to utilize the existing mechanisms and hold meetings of Bilateral Political Consultations and Joint Ministerial Commission on mutually convenient dates to further enhance bilateral cooperation in commerce and trade and other areas

The two foreign ministers had a wide ranging discussion on bilateral matters, COVID situation and regional issues.

Both ministers agreed to remain in close contact to provide continuous impetus to bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
