Eight killed in 829 road accidents

At least eight people died, whereas 873 were injured in 829 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of the total injured, 506 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals whereas 367 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site.

The majority, around 63 per cent, involved motorcycles. Furthermore, the analysis showed that 378 drivers, 23 underage drivers, 138 pedestrians, and 365 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.

The age group of the victims shows that 148 were under 18 years of age, 503 were between 18 and 40 years and the remaining 230 victims were reported to be above 40 years of age.
