KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court rejected on Monday a petition challenging the ban on social media platform TikTok, due to the lack of pursuance of the case. A two-member bench, headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, was hearing the plea. The petitioner had maintained in the plea that over 200 million people used the application in Pakistan, calling the ban a violation of Article 19 of the Constitution. The petitioner further stated that a few people were misusing it, so it would be better to block their accounts. He added that 200 million users should not be punished for the actions of a few people misusing the application.
