Police registered a case against the accused

A swindler reportedly deprived a citizen of Rs50,000 on the pretext of helping him to withdraw money from an ATM.

After registering the case, the police started searching for the accused with the help of CCTV footage.

According to the police report, Liaqat Ali of Batala Colony stated that he went to withdraw money from the ATM of a bank in Mohammadabad where an unidentified person took his ATM card, replaced it and withdrew Rs50,000 from his account through forgery before fleeing.

Police registered a case against the accused under section 420 of the Penal Code and started searching for him with the help of cameras installed at the spot.
