Police catch two alleged car thieves

Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two suspected car lifters during an encounter. Squads of Banni police station and the motorcycle-mounted Dolphin Force were on patrol when they intercepted the alleged car lifters. On seeing the police, the suspects opened fire on them. Police returned fire and as a result, two suspected robbers identified as Niaz and Arshad received bullet injuries, while two others managed to escape. Police recovered weapons and two vehicles being used by them. City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Muhammad Ahsan Younas appreciated immediate action of police and Dolphin Force and said police would continue their operation against anti-social elements and indiscriminate action would be taken against the outlaws.
