Two persons including a minor were killed while a man was injured in separate incidents of firing in Kasur on Friday.
Police said a minor boy was killed while his father sustained bullet injuries as a result of a monetary dispute.
Muhammad Riaz, a resident of Jambar Khurd, along with his 5-year-old son Umar Farooq was present in his scrap shop when two men, Asif and Malik Arif, came and demanded their money back. On hearing refusal, the accused opened indiscriminate fire at Riaz whose son was sitting in his lap.
The minor sustained serious bullet injuries and was killed on the spot. Riaz was shifted to THQ hospital in critical condition. The accused managed to escape from the scene.
Police took the child's body into its custody and started investigation.
Separately, a man shot dead his wife over a domestic issue in Aulakh Utarr, Khadian. Shabbir reportedly had an altercation with his wife, 40-year-old Kausar Bibi over domestic affairs.
In a fit of rage, he opened fire, killing her and fled. The deceased was a mother of five children. Police shifted the body to DHQ hospital for autopsy.Further investigation was underway.
