CM warns of Covid-19 spike in rally
Buzdar directs the officials concerned to take all necessary measures for maintaining law and order
LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday warned that there was a threat of spread of coronavirus in the public meeting being organised by the opposition parties and the government would not want its efforts made to contain the pandemic go waste.
The CM made these remarks while presiding over a meeting to review law and order situation and strategy to counter the opposition rally being held on Friday (today). Punjab Law Minister Basharat Raja briefed the chief minister about precautionary measures taken for the protection of the life and property of the public. He also briefed the chief minister about overall law and order situation in the province.
Buzdar directed the officials concerned to take all necessary measures for maintaining law and order in the province. “No stone should be left unturned for the protection of life and property of citizens. Observance of law will be ensured at any cost and no violation of law will be tolerated,” he underscored.
