At least 11 people died whereas 875 were injured in 838 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of the total injured, 531 victims were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 344 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site. The majority, around 61 per cent, involved motorcycles. Furthermore, the analysis showed that 332 drivers, 25 underage drivers, 128 pedestrians and 426 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes. The statistics showed that 219 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 192 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 61 RTCs in Faisalabad with 76 victims and Multan at third with 48 RTCs and 57 victims. The age group of the victims showed that 146 were under 18 years of age, 529 were between 18 and 40 years and the remaining 211 victims were reported to be above 40 years of age.
