Covid-19 claims six more lives, 222 more cases reported
Six more people have died due to Covid-19 and 222 more have been diagnosed with the infection in the province overnight, said Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday.
Following this, he said, the province's Covid-19 death toll has reached 2,562 and Sindh's cumulative virus tally has climbed to 140, 756.
Shah said that of the newly-reported cases, 136 had emerged in Karachi alone. Moreover, Thatta and Hyderabad each reported seven cases, Jamshoro and Sukkur six each, Naushehro Feroze five, Kashmore and Tando Allahyar four each, Dadu three, Jacobabad and Matiari two each and Qambar Shahdadkot, Khairpur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar and Shaheed Benazirabad one each.
He further said that there were 4,720 active cases in Sindh currently, of whom 4,380 were in home isolation, 334 admitted to different hospitals and six quarantined in isolation centres.
He added that the condition of 188 patients was unstable and among them, 25 were on ventilator.
