Farmers urged to start pea cultivation
Peas are a rich source of vitamins, fibre and iron

Agriculture experts have advised the growers to start cultivation of peas immediately and complete it during October to get a bumper yield.
A spokesman for Agriculture (Extension) Department told APP on Monday that peas are used largely because they are a rich source of vitamins, fibre and iron. The farmers should cultivate approved varieties of peas over maximum area as their production not only plays a pivotal role in meeting food requirements but is also helpful for the growers to meet their financial needs, he said.
