Two persons including a woman were allegedly murdered in separate incidents in Sargodha, police officials said on Friday. A trader identified as Chaudhry Mehmoodul Haq, a resident of Sillanwali, was sitting in his shop when four unknown armed persons riding two motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire at him. Mehmood was killed on the spot whereas the accused fled from the crime scene.
In another incident, Taswwar Abbas, of Rabana village in Sahiwal tehsil allegedly shot dead his wife Sajida over some domestic issues. The vicitm was a mother of three children. The deceased were handed over to their heirs after postmortem. Police registered separate cases and launched investigation. This is not the only incident of murder in Sargodha. On April 24, a 34-year-old nurse was killed in a firing incident in Urban Area police limits. Police said Farzana Bibi, a resident of Hayyat Colony, was a nurse at a private hospital. On the day of the incident, she was travelling to her home after completing her work when two unidentified persons allegedly shot dead her near Satellite Chowk.
