Pollution: EPD issues notice to factory

Enforcement wing visited the factory and issued a a warning to seal the factory

MULTAN:

The Environment Protection Department (EPD) and the Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) issued separate notices to the owner of a factory for burning tyres after Deputy Commissioner Amir Khatak took notice of a video circulating on social media platforms showing dense smoke to the environment.

Multan EPD summoned the factory owner and issued a notice to him on violation of smog protection and environment protection policies. Enforcement wing also visited the factory and issued a a warning to seal the factory if the owner did not close down its operations.
