The Clean and Green campaign in Jhelum seems to be eyewash as heaps of garbage are visible in many localities.
The residents of Chishtia neighbourhood said that the city administration was fooling them in the name of the cleanliness campaign.
The locals demanded the Jhelum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pervaiz Akhtar to visit the area once to witness the reality of the Clean and Green Campaign.
The health of the people is in jeopardy due to the stench, they added.
Councillor Amjad Butt expressed that the municipal corporation was being cruel to the locals of Chishtia locality. He said that heaps of garbage are lying on street corners for several months on.
