Man shot dead during mugging

Police officials were searching for the suspects

LAHORE:

A man was shot dead by unidentified suspects in Baghbanpura area over resistance during cash snatching bid on Wednesday. Police officials said that the victim identified as Aziz was returning to his home after withdrawing money from a bank along with his friend Khalid. On their way, the victims were intercepted by four unidentified suspects. The accused allegedly snatched Rs1.1 million from his custody. In response to the snatching bid, the victim Aziz offered resistance on which the suspect resorted to firing. He sustained bullet injuries and was killed on the spot. A police team shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidences from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses. Police officials said that they were searching for the suspects.
