Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmaker Arsalan Taj Ghumman submitted the Sindh Emergency and Rescue Service Bill in the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday. The bill demanded the introduction of an official emergency and rescue service in Sindh, similar to the Rescue 1122 service in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkwa. “There is no official rescue and emergency service available in Sindh and only the welfare organisations and NGOs come forward in case of any emergency,” he maintained in the bill, adding that providing a rescue and emergency service in Sindh was the responsibility of the provincial government.
