The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced on Tuesday the results for the intermediate pre-engineering Part II exams, in which 99.86 per cent students succeeded.
BIEK chairperson Professor Inam Ahmed said that 32,653 students had registered for the examination, of whom 32,606 had passed.
Ahmed pointed out that the examinations were not conducted this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, adding that the students were promoted based on the policy defined by the government.
He explained that intermediate Part II candidates were awarded an increase of three per cent to the score they had obtained in their Part I exams.
BIEK controller of examinations Shujaat Hashmi stated that as many as 1,072 students had acquired A+ grades, while 2,256 had received A grades, 3,494 B grades, 4,566 C grades, 11,673 D grades, 9,503 E grades and 42 students acquired just passing marks.
He said that none of the students were awarded positions following the policy implemented this year, adding that the results had been uploaded on the official BIEK website and mobile application.
