Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anwarul Haq directed the related authorities to ensure 100 percent implementation of the Anti-Dengue Action Plan. He chaired the meeting of the district emergency response committee at DC Office on Monday. DC reviewed the progress of different departments involved in the anti-dengue operation. Haq directed the related departments to expedite surveillance activities and ensure that the entire process is conducted according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). DC sought a report on surveillance activity in dengue hotspot areas in the next meeting. He said that indoor and outdoor surveillance was an important responsibility in dengue control activities along with the culling of recovered larvae.
