ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Model Customs Collectorate on Thursday claimed to have seized smuggled goods and vehicles worth over Rs300 million during September. The collectorate also exceeded its target of customs duty collection during the same period. As per a circular issued by the Model Customs Collectorate on Thursday, it expedited anti-smuggling efforts in line with directions of the Prime Minister Imran Khan. Smuggled goods and vehicles worth Rs330.24 million were seized by the customs department. The worth of recovered items was valued 85% more than that recovered during September 2019. The collectorate seized 27 non-custom duty paid (NCP) vehicles while three containers carrying smuggled food items and other equipment from Quetta were also taken into custody.
